Who are we?
North Building Technologies Limited make control products for buildings. Our products help to control iconic commercial buildings as well as everyday homes around the world. We are a private limited company registered in England, number 3003136. The registered office is 6-7 Lovers Walk, Brighton BN1 6AH.
Visitors to our website
When someone visits a northbt.com website we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect data about visitor behaviour. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to a particular page. This information is only processed in a way which does not personally identify you.

People who subscribe to our newsletter
When you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect your name and email address. We only use this information to send you email newsletters from North.
We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies, including web beacons, to help us monitor and improve our newsletter.
We will retain your information until you unsubscribe. You can do so by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the end of any newsletter you have received from us.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletters. MailChimp are compliant with the EU-US Privacy Shield, and store your information on our behalf on their servers in the United States. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice.
People who email us
We use Transport Layer Security (TLS) to encrypt and protect email traffic. If your email service does not support TLS, you should be aware that any emails we send or receive may not be protected in transit.
We will also monitor any emails sent to us, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software.
Job applicants
All of the information you provide during the recruitment process will only be used for the purpose of progressing your application. We will not share your information with any third-parties for marketing purposes, or store any of your information outside of the European Economic Area.
We will use the contact details you provide to us to contact you on the progress of your application. We will use the other information you provide to assess your suitability for the role you have applied for.
If you are unsuccessful at any stage of the process, the information you provided will be retained for up to 6 months following the closure of the recruitment process.
Access to personal information
Under the Data Protection Act, individuals have a right to request a copy of their personal information. If we do hold information about you we will let you have a copy and tell you why we hold it. You can also ask us to correct any mistakes, or erase information that is no longer required.
